Four Eye Variant Dzi Bead, 56.8×12.8mm, Dark Warm Brown Agate, Divot Disclosed (N-083126-4EV2)
🌟 Authentic Tibetan Dzi Bead | Unretouched Photos | New Production
There is a small hollow in the cream zone of this bead — and it is the first thing we want you to know about it.
Midway along the side face, sitting within the cream etching between the bar lines, is a minor natural surface divot: a small pit in the stone, not a chip and not a crack, but a natural inclusion in the agate that has opened at the surface. It is visible in the close-up photo provided and disclosed here prominently so there is no question about condition. The rest of the bead is intact throughout.
What the bead carries beyond that: the same four-eye variant motif as its companion piece, N-083126-4EV — four almond-shaped eyes in two pairs, each elongated oval sitting with a pointed end rather than the round concentric ring of the standard four-eye form. The side faces between the eye pairs show the bracket-and-bar structure, geometric and spare. The motif runs consistently through all four rotations, each face reading distinctly from the next.
The ground is dark warm brown agate, confirmed from flat-lit white-background photos — a step deeper than the companion piece's medium brown, with the same warm honey-brown tone at both glossy drill-end caps. The cream motif lines are bold and high-contrast. The surface is uniformly high-gloss, and the form is elongated fusiform at 56.8mm, slightly shorter and narrower than the companion.
No cracks and no chips are visible in any photo beyond the disclosed divot. I independently confirm both.
No bloodspot inclusions are visible at the resolution provided.
The Four Eye Motif
The four eye dzi (四眼天珠) carries associations with the four cardinal directions, the four immeasurables of Buddhist practice — loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity — and the four activities of pacification, enrichment, magnetisation, and subjugation. A four-eye bead is understood to extend protection in all directions simultaneously and to support the cultivation of boundless qualities in practice. The almond-eye variant form carries the same symbolic content as the standard four-eye, expressed through a softer, more organic eye geometry.
